I
am a misfit among librarians. Having done a PhD in the New Testament
through Westminster College, Oxford, UK, I am always dreaming
of the ideal heaven where I can spend most of the time writing
biblical works in Nepali. (I have written five.) However, I have
never escaped from administrative duties, which are ever-increasing
as ATEN broadens its vision. So, as executive secretary for the
ATEN board, I try to keep ATEN functioning smoothly.
My
first contract with ATEN expired in July 2003; but ATEN's general
body which met on October 8, 2003, has asked me to stay on for
another five years. So, you will see my face at least till 2008.
At
present, I am trying to help Nepal Institute of Theology (NIT)
start the Serampore Bachelor of Theology course. BTh, if successful,
will be the first recognised theological degree in Nepal.
